Using the Programs of Different Thoughts
|
Thoughts were designed with an intelligence built into them
that produce results once activated. What this means is,
once you hold a thought in mind for as little as 30 seconds,
your body, your behaviors, and your imagination respond
to the activated thought.
Different thoughts do different things
Not all thoughts are designed to produce the same results.
Your job as a creator is to know what thoughts produce the
results you want and then purposefully believe those
thoughts.
Let me give you an example
Pick a goal you would like to complete this year.
Imagine that you believe the thought I hope I reach my goal
this year. Go in your mind and concentrate on this thought.
As you do this, notice the feelings that begin to arise in
your body. Describe to yourself how you feel and name the
specific feelings. Also, describe where in your body you
feel these feelings.
Take a few minutes and mentally see yourself as you work
on your goal and you believe this thought. What kinds of
things do you do? Watch yourself interact with others. How
do they respond to you? How do you work towards your
goal when you believe this thought? What kind of effort do
you put towards your goal?
Keep in mind that all thoughts once activated produce a
result. So, write down in one sentence the results of
believing the thought I hope I reach my goal this year.
Believe a Different Thought-Get a Different Result
Now, I want you to experience the results of another
thought.
This time I am going to have you hold in mind and
concentrate on the thought I know my goal is already
completed. As you hold this thought in mind for a few
minutes, notice the feelings that arise in your body as you
focus on this thought. Name the specific feelings and
describe where in your body you experience these feelings.
Again, take a few minutes and watch yourself as you work
on your goal and you believe this new thought. What kinds
of things do you do? Watch yourself interact with others.
How do they respond to you? How do you work towards
your goal when you believe the thought? What kind of
effort do you put towards your goal?
Again, write down in one sentence the results of believing
the thought I know my goal is already completed.
Now compare the end results of the two thoughts.
Consciously become aware of the difference? Do you see
the benefit of believing one thought versus the other?
Thoughts have specific but different jobs to do and there is
nothing you can do about that. The only choice you have is
what thoughts you choose to believe. Why not believe
thoughts that help you reach your goals?
